Update: Severe Weather Potential Tonight

Not a lot of change from last night except for the threat increasing in eastern NC. I still think our biggest concern here in the western Carolinas will be a squall line which could produce damaging straight-line winds. There also is a small flood threat for the upstate of South Carolina into the mountains.

The main threat area will likely be south and east of the Charlotte area towards Eastern North Carolina and into South Carolina. We still have a small threat for an isolated tornado along and east of I-77. If you have a weather radar you will need to have it set to alert you tonight while you sleep incase of severe weather. This is also a good time to download the Charlotte Weather App for your smart phone. If the power goes out you will be able to stay up to date with the weather on your phone. You can download it here. You can also follow my updates 24hrs a day on my social networks on the left side under “Follow @wxbrad”
