Severe Weather Potential Friday & Saturday

With near record high temperatures today the ingredients are coming together for more severe weather Friday and Saturday. Much like the last threat the majority of the severe weather will be to our west. The potential is there for a major Tornado outbreak over Kentucky and Tennessee into the Ohio Valley Friday afternoon and evening.

For the Carolinas the severe threat is lower but still there for late Friday along the returning warm front. As with all these events we need to prepare now and be ready for changing conditions and potential severe weather late Friday into Saturday. Some of the specifics will only come into clearer focus as we get into Friday afternoon. If you live anywhere in the the area shaded in yellow below you need to prepare for severe weather. Below is the severe weather outlook from the Storm Prediction center from 7am Friday until 7am Saturday.
