24 hours of Booty forecast (updated 7/29/10)

The 24 hours of booty is coming up tomorrow and thank goodness it wasn’t this past weekend with the record breaking heat. This weekend there are almost no worries with temperatures in the upper 80s and just a small 20% chance for rain Friday. Winds will not be an issue either as they will be light and from the northeast. Max wind speeds will only be from 3-8 mph so smooth ridding expected all night Friday. Saturday looks mostly dry to start but towards the end of the event winds might swing around to the southeast brining in some moisture. This would start a slow ramping up of the rain chances after 5pm Saturday night. The chance of rain after 4pm is going up to 40-50%. This will be the main threat for rain during the 24hrs of Booty.

I’ll post updates during the event on my Twitter feed if you follow me under @wxbrad on the right.
