FOR THE MONTHS OF JUNE...JULY AND AUGUST...THERE HAVE BEEN 67 DAYS AT CHARLOTTE WITH HIGHS OF 90 DEGREES OR HIGHER.  THE HOTTEST DAYS WERE JULY 8 AND 25 WITH 101 DEGREES.

THIS WAS THE WARMEST SUMMER EVER RECORDED AT GREENVILLE-SPARTANBURG... WITH AN AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 81.0DEGREES. THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS 80.2 DEGREES IN 1952.
