Our Wet November & Autumn in Charts

No big shock here that November was the wettest November in Charlotte’s record books. These records go back 137 years to 1878 here in Charlotte. It also was an incredibly wet Autumn here in the Queen City. What’s really stunning is just how big the turn around has been from Summer drought to Autumn surplus. We have had more rain this Autumn than we had in all of the Summer and Spring combined. When looking at the whole year so far Autumn has made up 45% of the rainfall for the year!

Here’s a look at the charts and numbers to help out this wet Autumn into perspective.

Wettest Months all-time:

This is pretty amazing as well, this was the 21st wettest of any month on record. It also was the 1st time we have seen this much rain in one month since August of 2003.

Just for fun!

So what if this was all snow in November instead of rain?
